Infrastructure and Business Development, European Investment Bank’s (EIB), Luxemburg Daniel Farchy is a Senior Investment Officer in the Infrastructure and Business Development division of the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) New Products and Special Transactions Department, where he focuses on climate and environmental finance. Recently, Daniel led EIB’s investment in the green bonds asset class, including investment in a number of dedicated funds focused on green financing both in Europe and Emerging Markets. Prior to 2017 Daniel was at IFC, where he led IFC’s work with financial institutions on Climate/Green Finance in Latin America. Previously, Daniel also worked in environmental asset management companies in New York and Washington DC and as an energy economist at the World Bank. He holds Masters Degrees in Natural Sciences from the University of Oxford and in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University - SAIS.
