Dr. George Theocharides

Dr George Theocharides was appointed as Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) in September 2021, having previously served as Vice Chairman and as a Board member. From 2010-2020, he was an Associate Finance Professor at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) and from 2006-2010 at the Sungkyunkwan University of South Korea. He holds a BΕng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering & Electronics (U.M.I.S.T.), an MBA (University of San Diego) and a PhD in Finance (University of Arizona).
